I have a friend who is a writer and editor. These are her words, not mine: “She was always a writer. She was a writer because she had to write. She didn’t have to do it ’cause she wanted to write. She wrote because she had to. All she wanted to do was write. She didn’t have to write because she had to write. She didn’t have to do what she had to do ’cause she wanted to write.

Sameer. Wankhede. She is the name of the author of the book of poems titled A Girl Named Wankhede, which is published by the author’s university. I just read the book. It was beautiful. It is very sad. The point is that this is not the first time she has become a writer. She has written numerous essays, short stories, some poems, and a few novels.

It’s hard on the face to see the idea of writing as an option for someone who has lived through a full blown illness and is a full blown alcoholic. It’s not so easy because each time she writes, she writes like a normal person with no memory of what she wrote. She has to learn to write, but she writes because people will see her writing.

She’s right. Once a writer gets a name, they’re on their own. They can’t just keep writing because they think they can, and then end up writing about their own life. It’s the writer’s choice whether or not to write, and I don’t really see a point in making it harder on the writers.

Sameer is a full blown alcoholic. Its not that hard to prove this. We all know she is. She keeps buying booze, but she isnt trying to drink herself to death. Instead, Shes just like us in that she keeps writing and writing and writing, and we keep reading, and we keep reading, and we keep reading. And we keep writing. We keep writing, and we keep writing, and we keep writing, and we keep writing.

This is a common point made by game creators that I see a lot. That being that you are not an author but a creator. As such, you need to learn to take it upon yourself to create content for your own purposes. Sameer Wankhade has been doing this for a long time. He creates all of his writing in Minecraft. But that doesnt mean he hasnt made more than an occasional reference to Minecraft.
