A few years ago I was at a yoga class with a couple of friends, and I was like “oh, I totally forgot, I was teaching yoga.” I don’t think many people will ever get this wrong, but I do think that the practice of yoga is a fantastic way to prepare for a stressful day and to really get a sense of the power of your body. I think that yoga can help you with a lot of things in your life, as well.
Well, in a way, yoga is a form of self-hypnosis. When you practice yoga, the mind becomes more open to your body’s cues, so in case you’re not aware of your own movements, you can become aware of them. This is especially important if you’re working a lot of strenuous physical activity. If you’re doing yoga, you can get better at your form so you can feel more comfortable doing your workout.
Yoga can also strengthen your muscles, so if you have a gym membership, you can go there and get some serious strength training. If youre tired from your long workouts, you can get a workout in that may just work for you.
