Do you remember when you first started looking at homes? You might have had a very rough time. There was a lot of pain. There was a lot of stress. There was a lot of work and a lot of frustration. And this is only the beginning.
With the introduction of the “franchise” system that allowed builders to build houses and apartments for sale for a while, the process of buying a new home has gotten much less stressful. But the stress doesn’t end there. The buyer has to be very careful about what they buy. They have to be very careful about what they don’t buy. They have to be very careful when they are looking at what they are buying and what they do not buy.
Buying a house can be an emotional and mental experience for a lot of people. And especially if the buyer has a large family. I am not just talking about the spouse but everyone that is coming into the house to live. Everyone who has children. Everyone that is going through a divorce or a separation. Everyone that has been on the receiving end of a foreclosure, a job loss, a move, a divorce, a death in the family, a death in the family.
So, if you’ve lost a job or a relationship, or you are going through a divorce, or you are going through a separation, or you are going through a death in the family then you’ve got a lot of new friends for your new house to make, too. Not to mention the new neighbors. So buying a house is not just a financial decision. It is an emotional decision for the buyer, too.
Well, I did say that buying a house is an emotional decision. We talked about the emotional decision to buy the house in the first chapter, so this is just as important. When a new home is purchased, there are two emotional decisions: the first one is the emotional decision to move in and fix it up. That decision is much harder to make than the purchase of a new computer, or a new car, or a new watch.
Moving in and fixing it up is indeed a big deal. However, it can be easily avoided with tools like those we discussed in Chapter 4. The moving process is a lot like moving a car—and it can be extremely painful. After moving in, the first thing to do is check to see if your carpet has been vacuumed. If it’s not, then it’s time to move the vacuum cleaner.
The reason that we moved in is because I have a computer and I have a car. I want to move in. I have to check to see if it has been vacuumed before I move in.
When you have to move your computer, you have to take everything out of it. The reason I moved in is that my computer has a lot of storage, so I can’t just throw my hard drive into a closet. So what I do is I take the hard drive out of the computer and put it in a box. Then I put the box in my closet.
Moving in is a good thing. It allows you to focus on the task at hand. If you have to move everything out of your computer, you will stop focusing on your task, which is your computer. This is great.
This is probably a good thing. I have no idea why you keep your computer around anymore, but your computer will eventually replace it, and it will take up the storage space of your computer.
