Barcodes are like a serial number for everything in tech. Just like a good idea, the barcode is always the same no matter how you look at it. The barcode is also a key that unlocks a code. So in Deathloop’s case, it’s the code that unlocks the next level of the party.
The new Deathloop trailer shows us a guy who’s constantly fighting off hordes of undead. There’s a guy that’s constantly on the edge of death, and there’s another guy that’s always on the edge of death. The guy on the edge of death is looking to become the guy on the edge of life.

Deathloop is a shooter that looks pretty damn good. The visuals aren’t perfect, the enemies are a little too easy to kill, and the camera isn’t always pointed in the right direction. That said, it’s still pretty damn cool and definitely a lot better than most other FPS’es.
barcode_ow has always been one of my favorite FPSes, but for some reason, they only used the third person camera for Doom. Now that we have the first person camera, it looks as awesome as any FPS game I’ve ever played. The enemies are awesome too. I didn’t get a chance to play it at E3, but I got the chance to check it out at PAX, and it was pretty damn great.
I don’t know if I’ll ever play FPSes, but when I did, I was always impressed by how bad the enemies were. Like, with Doom I never got hit by a bullet, like I had a chance to die. Now, however, I can get hit by a bullet and then I die, but I’ve never had to worry about dying because I’m not even touching the ground.
I think the main reason a lot of FPS games are so good is because they take the basic bullet physics of a gun, and use it to create really interesting situations, which is exactly what this looks like. You see, the enemy in the game doesn’t just shoot bullets at you, they also explode when they hit you. It looks great and it feels great, so you just go back to how you did it in the first place.
That’s probably why I love FPS games.
Yeah, I think this is the type of game that’s often most fun to play. It’s not an RTS or real-time strategy; it’s a shooter with a bullet physics system. And it’s amazing. I absolutely adore it.
